About Our Business
After 30 years of working for various engineering firms in the Bay Area, Calvin began Laws &
Associates Inc as a one man consulting engineering firm. In 1987, Kent joined the firm after
earning his B.S.M.E. from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. In 1991 Steve
joined as well as Craig in 1995, both having earned their degrees from Cal Poly. The firm
focuses on the design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing
systems and fire protection systems.
Being a family owed and operated firm has allowed us to provide personalized service to many
clients in the Bay Area. However, Laws & Associates, Inc. has had the privilege to work with
architects and building owners from the western United States, including Arizona, Colorado,
Texas and Utah.
Laws & Associates, Inc. seeks to focus on integrity in engineering. This means looking out for
the best interest of the client at all times, designing projects which are economical, energy
efficient, maintainable, and practical.
